This workshop is mainly for UIS colleagues who have recently been appointed with line management responsibilities and are new to the role of managing staff and teams.

- Explain the roles and responsibilities of a line manager
- Understand yourself by being self-aware and know your personal management style
- Classify the skills, knowledge, beliefs and mind-set of a Line manager
- Identify the common mistakes and describe how they can be avoided
- Summarise what does a good Line manager look like

This will be followed by:
- Unit 4- Self taught activities in the workbook
- Unit 5 -In- person (through Teams) sessions on various topics related to management
- Unit 6 - Action Learning sets
3 hour workshop for 1 hour 30 minutes each
