Description

This CDHBasics session focuses on the importance of metadata (‘data about data’), examining the crucial role played by classification systems and standards in shaping how scholars interact with historical and cultural records.

Target audience

CDHBasics sessions are open to staff and graduate students who want to learn and apply digital methods and use digital tools in their research.

Format

For remote teaching: 1 hour live-streamed video, plus interactive chat forum for Q and A and access to course materials via Moodle
