This interactive session, aims to build confidence and competence in interview preparation and performance. It is suitable for individuals applying within the University or externally, and complements the CV writing and job application session.
Target audience
- Assistant and academic-related staff
- Research staff/postdoctoral research staff are advised to refer to the University Careers Service for information on specific Careers Programmes

Objectives

- Prepare effectively for online and in-person interviews
- Use the STAR technique to answer competency-based questions
- Respond confidently to common opening questions
- Demonstrate positive communication and body language
- Apply strategies to manage nerves and challenging questions
