Description

This course provides a quick overview of the basic principles of VAT and the rates, with specific reference to research grants, and guidance on the approach to take for different funder types. It highlights the questions to ask to help clarify each situation and points staff in the direction of the many resources and people to help.

Target audience

Anyone involved with costing or managing research grants, and those responsible for ensuring grant compliance. This includes the Research Operations Office (ROO) staff, research grant administrators and project co-ordinators.

Aims

This course will help staff correctly handle VAT for their research grant.

Format
