Self-Match Mentoring Scheme: Welcome and Introduction

This session provides an introduction for both mentors and mentees. We will discuss the benefits of mentoring and provide guidance on how to set objectives for the mentoring relationship and how to prepare for your first session together. We will also offer some tips about how to be a good mentee and mentor.

The session has been designed to support both mentees and mentors on the ourcambridge self-match mentoring scheme (https://universityofcambridgecloud.sharepoint.com/sites/ourcambridge/SitePages/Mentoring.aspx), but mentees and mentors from other schemes are also welcome to join.

· To consider the benefits of mentoring for both the mentee and mentor

· To think about how to be a good mentee or mentor

· To share ideas for how to get the mentoring relationship off to a good start

· To offer guidance on further training available
