Description

IS4 is a compulsory online course for all first year PhD and new MPhil students. (MPhil students from 2022-23, now in the first year of a PhD are not expected to complete the course again this year).

This course will equip you with the skills required to manage the data you will be collecting throughout your graduate course. It will also help you understand the importance of sharing your data openly.

The course is self-taught on Moodle.

Target audience
  • First year chemistry postgraduates
Aims
  • Introduce chemistry graduate students to the principles of RDM and give them the skills they need to organise and share their data safely and efficiently.
  • Inform chemistry graduate students about how to comply with funders' requirements regarding open data and where they can go for support when organising and sharing their data.
