Description

Data management is an important skill for any researcher to manage but it can be overwhelming to know where to start. This self-paced, interactive module guides learners through the different components of building a data managment strategy for their project including storage, sharing and organisation. The module also includes an activity to build a README file for data to prepare it for wider sharing.

  • Data organisation.

Objectives

At the end of the module, learners will be able to :

  • Understand the reasons why you need to manage your data.
  • Evaluate and select an appropriate data management strategy for your project.
  • Describe your research funder and/or institutional policy regarding data sharing.
  • Organise your data for sharing with the wider community.
