This course will help you understand how to undertake a risk of bias assessment of a systematic review, assessing its reliability, trustworthiness, and applicability. The session uses the ROBIS tool to assess a preselected published systematic review. We ask that you read a paper that will be provided before you attend the session, in order for us to make the best use of the time together. UPDATE: Please note that this session is taking place remotely, not in the Medical Library as previously advertised. Please do not go to the Medical Library training room. You will be contacted by the training team with information about how to join the session remotely. Please note: this session may be recorded. A series of 30 minute drop-in sessions to talk with one of the Simplifying our Processes team. We offer expert, impartial advice relating all things process improvement and want to support our colleagues on their own continuous improvement journeys. Please note, these sessions are informal, 1-2-1 meetings where colleagues can ask for advice and guidance from the Simplifying our Processes team. These are not workshops or taught sessions. The Simplifying our Processes team will be available 9-10 and 4-5 every Tuesday and Friday - each hour can be split into two sessions of 30 minutes depending on demand. |

These sessions are aimed at those who are brand new to HEAT (Higher Education Access Tracker) and who will want to be added to the live database as their institution’s Operational Lead or User with all Reports. If you are only going to need Read Only or Read Only with Export permissions this training is not required. |

This 1:1 workshop is for those with a specific questions about using Microsoft Office, Teams or SharePoint. We will work with you using your files to explore if we can answer questions or suggest a more efficient way to achieve results. When you book in the Special Requirements field, please enter a description of what you want to discuss and, if relevant, have a copy of your own files available so we can test some ideas. Please anonymise the data if it is sensitive or personal. The link to join the course is sent in the booking and reminder emails. |

This course would suit people that are comfortable using computers and who would be confident referring to the course materials after the session to consolidate the detail. However, if you would prefer a more in depth and slower paced course with more opportunity for practice then attend Teams Parts 1 - 5 instead (see Related courses below). A course specifically for University of Cambridge staff and students. Attendees will learn how to search medical/healthcare databases accessed with a Raven login (such as Medline and Embase) effectively and efficiently, to learn how to save searches and references, and to create and maintain a bibliography. This course is delivered at an introductory/refresher level, and assumes you have had no prior training in how to search databases. All attendees are required to have a Raven login. NHS staff wanting to learn similar material should book onto our 'Getting the Best Results - Improving Your Database Searching' course instead.
