Medicine: SSC Systematic Reviews (For Year 4 clinical students only) PrerequisitesNew
This is a course designed for students undertaking a systematic review for their SSC project. It will cover all aspects of the systematic review process: ensuring your database search is as comprehensive as possible (and knowing when to stop), how to manage the process and results of the systematic review, and how to save references and cite them effectively.
University of Cambridge clinical students in Year 4 undertaking systematic reviews for their SSCs.
Attendees must have attended either of the following two courses earlier in the morning:
- Medicine: SSC 1
- Medicine: SSC 2

This course will address:
- Selecting the databases and other resources you will need to search (and searching them comprehensively)
- Keeping up to date with new information appearing between the initial search and write-up
- Issues around documentation of process and results
- Management of references (using software such as EndNote, Mendeley or Zotero), and getting hold of the full text article

One session of two hours.
