This course will enable the participants to practice existing spreadsheet skills and develop more advanced skills within the context of UFS data. There will be the opportunity to extract data from the system and learn to manipulate, analyse and use it for reporting purposes. The course runs over two sessions and participants will need to attend both of these sessions. |

The session will look at more advanced formulas and macros using the recorder and VBA tools. The formulas covered in this course include SUMIF and COUNTIF which will allow the user to quickly summarise data. Macros will enable the user to automate tasks within excel. During this session, we will use the example of needing to analyse, sort, split and send data to specific email contacts. Users will be introduced to a series of macros to reduce this process to a few simple steps. The session will run on Teams and delegates must be able to access Excel during the session |

Off payroll worker update - May 2021

The off-payroll working rules have been in place since 2000 to ensure fairness between individuals who work in a similar way. They are designed to make sure that an individual who works like an employee, but through their own limited company, pays broadly the same Income Tax and National Insurance contributions as other employees. In April 2021 the rules have been amended and this brief update session will explain the changes and the impact on departments. Note - this session is an update and will not cover the basics of the off-payroll worker legislation, there will be sessions later in the year for this |
