Have you ever wondered who can access your research? Most articles and research outputs are locked up behind paywalls inside an ivory tower. Find out how to make your research more open to reach a broader audience, spark collaborations and, most importantly, improve the quality of your research.

Topics covered

We will look at...

  • how different publishing models allow your work to be accessed by more readers
  • how the University of Cambridge supports and encourages Open Research
  • what funders require from researchers
  • Presentation and discussion

The session will be delivered by Dr Beatrice Gini, Training Coordinator at the Office of Scholarly Communication. Bea has worked in secondary education and as a research consultant with the Zoological Society of London. At the OSC she supports researchers and PhD students who want to learn more about publishing, Open Research and Research Data Management.
