This online course is intended to provide some basic information about health and safety in the University and help you to understand your responsibility to: Keep yourself safe, look out for the safety of others, and co-operate with your department and the University.

A Raven password is needed to access this online course, although you can log in as a Friend. If you don't already have a Raven password please visit http://www.cam.ac.uk/cs/docs/faq/n5.html

Please note: Postgraduate students should complete the Online Postgraduate Safety Course Introduction Training instead.

Presentations and video

There are a few sections to complete for this course. You should aim to complete the one called ‘Safeguarding yourself and others’ in your first week and the remaining sections within one month of starting. The whole course should take you approximately one hour. It incorporates video so please ensure that you have access to headphones or speakers.

At certain points of this training you will see the message 'Content on this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player'. Therefore, you may find it helpful to access the course content in a new window within Moodle so that you can refer back to the main Moodle page to view the MP4 videos in the Panopto section (to the right of that page) as you go along.

College staff and "non-University staff" should attend in-house induction training. There may be a charge for College/non-University staff accessing this online training, see charging for further information

• University staff: The web link and enrolment key to access this training will be sent with the booking confirmation. College staff should follow their local induction training.
