MSt in Genomic Medicine - Advanced bioinformatics
This module introduces a deeper exploration of bioinformatics analysis of genomic data, providing a greater understanding of the different approaches to mapping and alignment of genome sequence data, programming and scripting, along with approaches for the detection and analysis of genomic changes, gene expression and network analysis.

After this course you should be able to:
- Discuss the challenges, promises and pitfalls of moving from genome to whole systems analyses.
- Access and handle appropriately a range of biological data types including genomic and transcriptomic data.
- Employ basic tools for network analysis and network visualisation.
During this course you will learn about:
- Analysis of genomic variation
- RNA expression profiling using RNA-Seq
- Genetic interaction networks
- Methods and tools for network analysis and disease network re-construction

- £ 50/day for all University of Cambridge staff, including postdocs, and participants from Affiliated Institutions. Please note that these charges are recovered by us at the Institutional level
