IOSH Managing Safely

Description

Managing Safely is ideally suited to managers, research supervisors, administrators with safety responsibilities and Departmental Safety Officers across all sectors of the University. It leads to a nationally recognised and accredited qualification.

Please note to be successful in gaining the qualification delegates will need to pass an assessment on day 3 of the course and complete a risk assessment project to be handed in at a later date. (IOSH is the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health.)

Objectives
  • To get you up to speed on the practical actions you need to take to handle health and safety in your team
  • To provide the knowledge and tools you need to tackle the health and safety issues you are responsible for
Format

Presentations, workbook, DVDs, board games, quizzes, an assessment and a risk assessment project

Charging
  • Payment is required before an event. Bookings are approved subject to payment being received prior to this training.
  • University staff are charged £100 for certification. Please select 'full' payment when making your booking and your department will be invoiced the reduced rate of £100.
  • College staff are charged £300 per participant, see charging for further information.
  • External participants should contact the Safety Office for details of charges for this certificated course.
