Dangerous Goods by Air (IATA) Course

Description

This is a CAA approved 3-day training course and open book examination, covering the requirements of the IATA Dangerous Goods by Air Regulations. Someone possessing this qualification will be an asset to their department as carriers ask for more assurances about the packaging and labelling of cargoes.

Note: Each participant will need to bring an up-to-date IATA manual (which is updated annually) for this Course. A few copies will be available on loan on request at least two weeks prior to the training but others will have to purchase or borrow one independently.

There will be a 0930 start on the first day but subsequent start, finish and break times will be a matter of negotiation with the trainer.

There is unlikely to be another full IATA course organised centrally until 2027.

Notes
  • Each participant will need access to an up-to-date copy of the IATA manual (details will be provided in the booking confirmation email). The Trainer has a few copies of the manual which he can loan on request but there are not enough copies for everyone. If you wish to borrow an IATA manual, please email safety.training@admin.cam.ac.uk at least two weeks before the Course. However, it is good if participants can bring their own copy in case they wish to make notes within the manual.
