Objectives

A series of short one-to-one, focused conversations about a specific professional and career-related question and access to an incredible breadth and depth of collective knowledge. You will rotate around four different mentors, spending around 10 minutes with each, to gain different perspectives on an issue you are seeking to resolve.

Aims
  • provide an opportunity for new starters to meet and tap into the wisdom of senior leaders.
  • maximise interaction, enabling the mentor and mentee to speak to lots of people in a short space of time.
  • develop a networking opportunity for all involved, with the potential to initiate an ongoing mentoring relationship.
  • allow for the quick-fire exchange of ideas about professional development.
  • provide an opportunity for both mentors and mentees to share knowledge and experience.
Format

You will attend four 10 minute one-to-one meetings with a mentor and also meet with all group attendees at the start and end of the event.

Notes

We can only accommodate six staff mentees at this time. It will be on a first come, first served basis and you will be invited to meet four out of the six mentors listed. Due to the complexity of the scheduling, it is not possible to request particular mentors. You will be sent details of who you will be meeting and the times, in advance. We will evaluate the effectiveness of this initiative by the end of the event to take an informed decision of running a few more speed mentoring events in the future.
