Description
Prof. Ian Leslie, Director of University Information Services (UIS) will be joined by colleagues to present an organisation update to the IT community. Focusing on UIS's recent activities and evolving priorities.
- Vijay Samtani, Chief Information Security Officer (UIS), will provide a brief cyber security update, including the Information and Cyber Security Strategy 2018–2021.
- Neil King, Acting Head of the UIS Service Management Office (SMO), will introduce the new SMO and its work to ensure consistent and meaningful service information that is needed to deliver the University’s services.
- Jon Holgate, Head of Infrastructure, will introduce the Collaboration Tools Strategy and highlight ongoing plans for the future.
The seminar will be followed by a public launch event of The Things Network. All TechLink members are welcome to stay and Learn how LoRaWAN works as part of the Internet of Things. The event will include short talks and demos followed by networking drinks. 16:00-18:00. Book through Eventbrite.
