Web Skills for Researchers: Web of Knowledge and Scopus
Beginners

Tue 15 Nov 2016

Description

Web of Science indexes over 12,000 high-impact journals and over 160,000 conference proceedings, with current and retrospective cover of science, social science and humanities journals dating back to 1900. Scopus is an abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature (journals, books and conference proceedings). Coverage dates back to 1823, although pre-1996 coverage is currently not comprehensive. Both databases offer tools that will help you to identify key authors and publication trends and get alerts when new papers relevant to your work are published.
