Bridging the gap from research to practice: Writing to Engage Series - Writing for policy makers (engaging further than presenting stats)
New

Wed 30 Jun 2021

Description

Research ensures policymakers can come up with evidence-based solutions to the most pressing real-world problems. But decision-makers are busy and don't have the time to wade through pages of dense academic prose that may be irrelevant to them. This course will explain how to communicate with policymakers in an appropriate - and timely - way so your work has the best chance of delivering impact. As a Co-Investigator of the International Public Policy Observatory, Matt will also share real world examples from a major live project, which aims to link global research on the social impacts of COVID-19 with UK policymakers.
