Bridging the gap from research to practice - Learning from Failure

Thu 21 Jan 2021

What does failure mean? How can we reframe our situations so that failure does not have be a negative thing and we can learn new ways of coping and being resilient.

Meet some early career academics who managed to work their way through challenging times.

Alasdair, a 3rd year doctoral student, will share how his research project was severely disrupted but he was able to turn a challenging situation around and Marta Costa and Deepak Venkateshvaran will be sharing their own failure stories and coping strategies as academics.

Please note that we are limiting the numbers for this session as we hope to develop a group that will feel comfortable enough to share your thoughts and own experiences.
