Description

A one hour session for MPhil Engineering students starting their dissertation.

This session will look at tools and techniques for finding information for dissertations. Including:- Strategies for finding what you need Search methods and techniques Resources you can use Evaluating academic literature Referencing and Reference Managers

You may find it useful to bring a laptop to this session, but it is not essential.

This will be followed by a one hour drop-in for questions about searching and using reference managers.

Target audience

This session is aimed at MPhil Engineering students starting their dissertation, but may be useful for Engineering PhD students and 3rd and 4th year Engineering undergraduates
