Presenting with Impact (STEMM) [formerly 'Better Presentations: A Practical Guide']

Description

This beginner’s course is designed to get you thinking about presenting with impact. Giving presentations is an essential skill for a researcher, be it in your department, at a major conference, or in your next job interview! You know your subject but sometimes issues of performance and clarity stop you being your best. This highly interactive workshop requires you to throw yourself into the activities in a safe and supportive environment.

Target audience

PhD students in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences and Technology.

Postdoctoral researchers and research staff are welcome to attend this course, but may prefer to attend Postdocs: Effective Research Presentations, which is tailored specifically to the postdoctoral experience.

Participative workshop including provision of information, discussion and practical exercises.

1-hour session.
