Are you concerned about the ethical implications and data privacy issues related to AI tools? Our AI Adoption Survey last year tells us that many of you have significant concerns when using or considering the use of AI tools. This workshop is designed to address these concerns and provide an understanding of the ethical landscape surrounding AI.

Join us as we delve into key topics such as data privacy, bias, transparency, and skill gaps, equipping you with the knowledge to adopt AI tools responsibly and ethically.

We will use MS Teams for the workshop. A link for you to access the session will be sent nearer the time.

Aims

The aim of this workshop is to address participants' concerns and educate them on ethical considerations and data privacy in the context of AI tools:

  • An overview of data privacy issues in AI, highlighting potential risks and protective measures.
  • A discussion on concerns raised in our survey, particularly focusing on data privacy (the highest concern, with an average rating of 3.9), bias and fairness (the second highest concern), as well as moderate concerns such as skill gaps and lack of transparency.
  • An understanding of ethical considerations essential for responsible AI adoption and usage.
  • Practical insights from case studies and examples of ethical AI usage, showcasing best practices and real-world applications.
