Description

This new workshop provides an opportunity for professional services and non-academic staff to refresh their understanding of the recruitment and selection processes at the University of Cambridge. Target audience

Aims
  • to provide skills and training to enable you to create the conditions where you can recruit the best candidate
  • to understand the importance of using a fair and transparent recruitment and selection process
  • to recognise the impact of implicit bias and ensure it does not affect selection decisions
  • to identify where responsibilities lie to ensure a fair process is followed
  • to highlight and discuss the application of good practice and useful resources
Format

The workshop is interactive and encourages discussion around current practice. Learning is sustained by providing an opportunity to plan your course of action to ensure training is applied back in the workplace
