Preparing to Write Your Thesis (STEMM)

Description

The time has come to start writing your thesis, but you may still be in the lab finishing experiments and/or writing papers for publication. How are you going to start writing your thesis and submit on time? This half day workshop is designed to get you thinking and planning your thesis writing, as well as discuss other important factors, which need to be considered when writing up.

Target audience

Final year PhD students in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences and Technology.

Aims
  • Discuss concerns about thesis writing
  • Explore planning techniques available to help establish a productive writing pattern that will get thesis written on time
  • Receive tips and tools to avoid procrastination
Format

Participative workshop comprising of information giving and activities

Duration

One 2 hour session

There will not be a scheduled break in this session, so you are encouraged to go to the Whale Café on your way in and pick up a drink. If you show your University card, you will get a small discount!
