Description


As a Director of Studies you provide essential academic guidance and support to students on an individual basis. This seminar will help you develop your ability to undertake this role more effectively and efficiently. The focus will be sharing good practice, key responsibilities, and where to find additional sources of help. This year, due to current circumstances, this event will be held online.

Aims
  • to understand the role and responsibilities of Directors of Studies, and hence improve support of undergraduates
  • to be aware of what information is available to Directors of Studies and how to access it
  • to understand the responsibilities of Colleges in the Direction of Studies, including the roles of supervisions and CamCORS
  • to be aware of relevant data protection legislation and how it affects the keeping of records and the provision of references
