This course is aimed at those who want to improve their skills when laying out Word documents. You will learn key topics that will enhance your work with the opportunity for hands on practice on the essential features of Microsoft Word relevant to producing well laid out reports.

- Apply advanced formatting techniques to position and align text to improve clarity.

- Use Styles for Consistency
- Create and apply custom Styles to ensure consistent formatting across documents.
- Modify and manage Styles to support branding and accessibility.
- Work with Tables
- Insert and format tables to organise information visually.
- Adjust table layout, borders, and shading for professional presentation.
- Structure Long Documents
- Create and manage a Table of Contents using heading Styles.
- Use the Navigation Pane to move through and reorganize document sections.
- Insert and manage Section Breaks to control layout and pagination.
- Manage Headers and Footers
- Design and apply Headers and Footers for long or complex documents.
- Include page numbers, document titles, and other dynamic fields.

- The course will be taught using Word 365 on PCs but will also be suitable for Word 2016/2019 users. Apple Mac users of Outlook should also find it useful.
