Writing your first year report can be a daunting process, often compounded by not knowing:

• what it is for
• who is it for
• what should be in it
• how to write scientifically at the University of Cambridge

This session will clarify these points and provide an introduction in scientific writing.

• Learn about the writing process
• Practice some writing and reviewing

To help PhD students successfully write their 1st year report and make a smooth transition into the rest of their PhD.
