Description
The university will shortly be implementing two new policies – the screening policy and the Children and Vulnerable Adult safeguarding policy (CAVA). These briefing sessions will provide staff with an overview of the policies, how they will be implemented and the impact these will have on recruitment.
Target audience
- University staff, in particular Departmental Administrators and any other staff dealing with recruitment
- Further details regarding PPD's eligibility criteria are available

Aims
- To raise awareness and promote understanding of the key principles of the Screening and CAVA policies
- To provide guidance on the process of undertaking screening checks during recruitment
- To help staff understand their roles and responsibilities in respect of safeguarding children
