Chemistry: Graduate Lecture Series: (AO8) Reactive Intermediates (3L)
ADVANCED ORGANIC CHEMISTRY (AO)
(AO8) Reactive Intermediates (3L)
Many reactions in organic synthesis proceed in a non-concerted fashion, via the generation and in situ reaction of highly energetic transient species. These lectures cover the principles and applications of reactive intermediates such as carbenes, carbenoids, radicals, carbocations and arynes in modern organic synthesis.
