Introduction to COGNOS

COGNOS is a reporting tool that utilises data from CUFS to provide users with additional reports and options. This one hour master class is designed to get existing CUFS users going with the reporting tool. It covers everything they need to know to run a report successfully as well as a number of useful tips and shortcuts. Note: What it does not do is go through in detail the outputs of each individual report. Less experienced users of the Grants and/or General Ledger modules in CUFS are recommended to attend instead one of the following courses:
These two courses not only cover the mechanics of running the reports but also more advice on how to interpret and use the information as well as discussion about when to use which report. |

You will also have the opportunity to look at your department's accounts in the PLAY or LIVE system.
